FUND THE ESSENTIALS

100% of the profit goes into grants for the "unglamorous" stuff that keeps adaptive riders rolling - like servicing, transportation, repairs, tyres, and lift passes.

WHY?

The "Hidden" Cost of Disability Research shows that living with a disability costs an extra ~£1,000 per month. When you add the cost of Adaptive MTB, the numbers can become unsustainable. Many riders fight hard to get their bike funded - through insurance, through crowdfunding. But once they have the bike, the budget is often empty. If a motor fails, a tire tears, or they can't afford the lift pass, that $20k lifeline ends up gathering dust in a garage.

We want to stop financial barriers from turning a rider back into a spectator.

Keeping the Wheels Turning

FUNDING THE RIDE, NOT THE BIKE?

The ReAction Fund exists to bridge the gap between owning a bike and riding it. We provide targeted grants (typically £250 - £500 per year) to cover the essential running costs that stop people from riding:

  • Tyres, brake pads, and motor servicing.

  • Lift passes and park fees.

  • Transportation and expenses for support riders.

  • Rideable Now.

FAQs

  • Your money goes directly into the ReAction Fund. Every penny of that fund goes to adaptive riders, in the form of annual grants that help with the running costs of adaptive bike riding.

  • If you combine the higher living costs, higher bike purchase costs, higher transportation costs, and the support rider costs - sometimes it is hard to believe anyone has the budget to be an Adaptive Rider. The barrier to entry is high - RideAble Now believes the barrier to Regular Riding year round is even higher. The ReAction Fund is here to help keep the Adaptive wheels turning.

  • The application form allows a rider to specify what they need the grant for. RideAble Now is committed to helping adaptive riders with grants towards Protective Equipment, Transportation Costs, Maintenance or Servicing Costs, Content Creation Costs, Support Rider Funding, Lift Passes/Uplift passes, and more. Each rider can only apply for one Grant per calendar year - maximum grant is £500.00 - and RideAble Now has full agency on grant decisions and values in each circumstance.
