Hope Products

Martyn Ashton

“Hope were onboard right away. They didn't just 'get' the Rideable Now mission; they immediately started brainstorming ways they could offer more to the adaptive riding community - literally that same day.”

OUR STORY.

"My story with Hope goes right back to the beginning of my career, in fact they kind of started it. In 1993, I did my first-ever photo shoot for MBUK. Thanks to an amazing shot of my mate Martin Hawyes, our feature landed on the front cover. The very day that magazine hit the shelves, the phone rang. It was Ian Weatherill from Hope.

Back then, Hope was still in its early days, but Ian offered me their full support and sponsorship, right there and then.

From that day to this, Hope has been there for me. Every single time I’ve had one of my 'ideas' - whether it was asking for a set of wheels that could survive what I was doing on a road bike, or dreaming up a one-of-a-kind, factory-built full-suspension trials bike - they just got stuck in and made it happen.

So, when I first came up with the plan for Rideable Now, it was a no-brainer. Hope was the very first company I talked to.

They were onboard right away. They didn't just 'get' the mission; they immediately started brainstorming ways they could offer more to the adaptive riding community - literally that same day.

That’s the thing about Hope. They’ve actually been quietly serving the adaptive community for years with their brilliant double-levered brake system for one-handed control. In typical Hope fashion, they just saw a problem, solved it, and didn't make a big fuss about it. Thankfully, we get to do that for them.

Now, they've committed to three years of support for Rideable Now. This year, I'll be working directly with their team to expand that range of adaptive products even further. It’s a partnership that’s been over 30 years in the making, and honestly, it feels like the most natural fit in the world."

FEATUrED PRODUCT

tech 3 duo

The Tech 3 Duo operates two calipers individually from a single hand. Paired with X2 or E4 calipers, it handles everything from XC to Enduro. Built on the proven Tech 3 design, it features fully adjustable reach and bite points. Unlike the Uno, the Duo offers completely independent braking control of both the front and rear brakes.

This is an adaptive product that Hope have been offering for years, and it is quite simply a game changer for riders with upper limb disabilities.

product progress

working hard to adapt to what we need

Rideable Now has been testing some ideas with Hope Tech to see where they can grow their adaptive range of products. The Tech 3 Duo is the example of their efforts already; but this amazing brand has the intention to find other places that they can offer products for adaptive riders.

Throughout 2026 Rideable Now will be testing these products, and we will keep you updated all the way through.

Plus: look out for our very first ‘Factory Build’ competition where you can win a £10k+ Hope HB916 mountain bike.
