How the access fund supports you

We offer grants towards adaptive bikes. Our applicants know what bike they need, they have sourced an official quote from the manufacturer or distribution company. So, just to recap - you are ready to apply once you can answer the following:

  • This seems like such a simple question. However, to truly answer this the applicant needs to have researched and understood why the bike in question is suitable to their lifestyle and disability.

  • Another critical step. A formal quote provides Rideable Now with important information and a point of contact from the company the applicant is dealing with. The specifics of the quote should include any adaptions, equipment, or customisation that is included as part of the price.

  • It is a requirement for our applicants to have actively saved for their bike, or have been crowd funding. Successful applicants will need to show evidence of the savings or crowd fund campaign. In certain circumstances we can help accelerate crowd funding by partnering an applicant with one of our Pro Ambassadors.

  • It is important for Rideable Now to understand the applicants plans for riding the bike, and where. This is because we want to make sure the grants we provide have a significant impact. The boring logistics of where a bike is going to be stored, or if transportation requirements will be a prohibitive cost to the applicant - these are important things to have considered.

  • "My first adaptive bike was a transformational tool in my life. I suddenly had a World of opportunities - I could seriously go places."

    Martyn Ashton

  • I've had some of the best experiences of my pro riding career on adaptive bike shoots. Those days of adventure have been pure joy.
